Service is extremely poor. You will not have access to your account information: knowing when things expire, the ability to turn off auto renew, etc. Everything is done via ticket and when there is an issue, especially when it comes to billing, they will do nothing to assist - merely redirect you to a long list of terms and conditions. Better to keep looking for another hosting option if you want transparency and support in the real time.

I loved GreenGeeks for the first few years. But recently they've just lacked. There are still good things about them that I love, but there is also A LOT of baggage there as well. Recently I had paid for my domain and watched it expire anyways and someone else buy it up. Fortunately it was retrieved. I was frustrated but I let it go until recently. They renewed an SSL certificate on a site that I DO NOT OWN any longer and it isn't even on my domains list anymore. Aside from this the original email I received from them that I still have said that I would have to manually renew the SSL certificate myself if I wanted it to continue. But, GreenGeeks decided to auto-renew it at $20 extra, and when I contacted them about it they said that I didn't cancel the auto-renew soon enough so no refund. I told them about the email and even showed them. They said they'd give me a credit of $30, which I would then have to specify where I wanted it to be applied. On top of all that the price was $70 and the SSL is useless to me. If they had told me it was going to be renewed and I just forgot, than yes, that's on me. But they told me the renewal was automatic. I decided to move my business elsewhere, but in order to do this they cancel your account immediately unless you specify don't do it until the expiration date. I'm still waiting on response if the domains remain and are accessible or if I need to move them immediately. They seem to make everything as difficult as possible to leave. As well as to get your money credit, which I declined anyways. I put in a claim with my bank, the charge is completely false.

Waste of money
I've never dealt with hosting companies before. After a thorough research, I contacted their sales via website. Their sales agent was quick to offer me discounts and convinced me to sign up for a 3 year term. However, the sales agent never disclosed full terms and conditions of hosting which by the way cannot be found on their website. For example, I was never told that my domain was only free for the first year. I was shocked when I received an invoice from them. If I knew what I was signing up for, I would have never done it. No instructions were provided to me on the steps I needed to take after I signed up. I contacted them via their website chat. And, I literally had to pull the info on setting up and building my website from them. Here is just a few of them: misleading sales info on their website, outdated and inadequate cPanel features (website builder, SEO tools, email applications), incompetent technical support (most of the time they directed me to read Wikipedia for help), awful customer service (I demanded my money back and was told that it was too late; no one even attempted to settle my complaints), limited amount of website media usage - 200MB!!! For the past year, I've wasted lots of my time and resources dealing with GreenGeeks. Please do not waste yours. Use another hosting provider. P.S: Can't wait for my contract to end.

got Scammed for $400
The service is created to rip you off. After first month I registered on it, figured that wasted my money because just founded so much better deals and services that at the same time care about their customers, not just try to scam people beside selling them some shi.. services. Last year I made a big mistake and got a one year plan from them for $200(never used it). I was forgetting about it that I got another $200 bill on my credit cart for renewal the plan. Then immediately contacted them and said " I haven't used this account at all and I have no plan to use it while never asked you to renew it. But they say we don't have refund for renewal plans. :l The fun part is that, I asked them to cancel my account, but they say we can't cancel it because you paid for it. They latterly want to rip me off by the next year as well by renewing it since I'm not able to remove my credit cart information from the profile. In addition I have made many websites with different services and platforms. Their services are super old exactly like the ones that developers get between 2001 to 2008. I wish I NEVER inserted my credit card information on their SCAMMY website. If you got scammed using GreenGeeks, I won't be surprised.

Great service, support and reliability for the pri
I cannot speak highly enough of GreenGeeks. They have provided excellent and fast tech support and solved problems that they really didn’t need to. Quite frankly, they did things I should have been hiring others to do but because of a low budget, they were my only hope and they came through time and time again. Very happy and great for startups/small businesses

I've been with Green Geeks for years. I am happy they are offering a eco friendly hosting service.

I’m not a web expert, but I run a bunch of sites with Wordpress. And every time I need help, when I am at the edge of my abilities, I just reach out and they make it happen so fast. So far, SO GOOD :)
